Information about entering your ride

q. How Should I enter dates?

a. dates need to be formatted in a year, month date formate of yyyyy-mm-dd, but it's easier if you use the Pick a Date function.

q. How Should I time my ride?

a. It's up to you. Feel fre to track total time, include your breaks. Stopped for lunch, that's OK too. There are really no rules other than you should enter the number of hours and the minutes(0-59).

q. Do I need to know how far I rode and what if I don't?

a. Yes you need to have a good idea. If you are unsure here's a link that will allow you to mark your ride using Google Maps. You can find this link through out our site as well.

q. What is the note field for?

a. Anything you want! How did your ride go; a short description of where you went; pretty much anything you want.

q. What kind of trails can I enter?

a. Trails should be well defined and documented bike trails. In the U.S. many trails are sponsored by State and Local governments. the Rails to Trails project is also a great source of bike trails.

q. Why enter a trail?

a. Entering a trail will allow you to document what trails you have ridden, and over time allow us to add more functionality to the site.
